Falcons Field Hockey is proud to offer scholarships to deserving graduates. Scholarships of $500 towards post secondary education are awarded each year to deserving students.
The application deadline is April 30th, and the application form can be found in the documents section at the bottom right corner of the Falcons web page.
This years Monday Night Skills clinic will be coached by Andrew Kanerva.
Andrew is a student at University of British Columbia in the faculty of Kinesiology. Andrew has extensive experience playing for the men’s senior and junior national field hockey teams. He has received two silver medals at the U17 Pan American Games and at the U21 Pan American Games. Now, his interests have pivoted. He is the head coach of the FHBC T2T boys provincial team. Last year, in Calgary, he was coach of the boys T2T team who won gold at the Canadian National Championships. Aside from field hockey, Andrew is a strength and Conditioning coach for the men’s and women’s UBC Varsity Soccer teams.
Andrew will be providing developmentally appropriate skills and tactical training to clinic participants. With a combination of his education in Kinesiology with a focus on coaching and his extensive experience playing high performance field hockey,Andrew is perfectly positioned to provide an excellent high performance training experience.Catch Andrew at our field hockey clinic running on April 24th, May 8th, 29th, and June 5th

Sara was part of the Canadian women’s team playing in the world league 2 in Dublin Ireland recently where the team placed second earning them a spot in world league 3 Olympic qualifier in Valencia Spain this June. Sara will also compete in the pan american games in Toronto in 2016. At only 21 years old this falcon prodigy has accumulated over 70 senior caps as was a big part of the recent berth and is hoping to parley the teams showing into an Olympic and Pan am run. Best of luck to Sara and team canada this year!!!
